Open Fracture Management in the UK

Exciting news on open fracture management…

 

The working group of BOA and BAPRAS have issued the most recent version of standards for management for open fractures in the UK. There are many updates starting with antibiotic prophylaxis:

 

  • Duration shortened to 24 hours and some changes introduced on the type of antibiotics
